The company was founded in 1957, when company founder Oskar Lapp invented the world's first industrially produced control cable ÖLFLEX®. Today, Lapp Cables produces cables and conductors for different industrial sectors: mechanical and system engineering, automotive industry, Brake torque adjustment systems, electrical installation works, electronically controlled diesel injection systems, etc. Lapp cable products are basically produced in factories affiliated to the Lapp Group.
