On May 8, 2015, the merger of Luna and Advanced Photonix was completed. The combined company has a stronger position in optical technologies, with Luna Optoelectronics a leading supplier of optoelectronic solutions and terahertz sensors and instrumentation to a global OEM customer base. Our solutions are based on our patented high-speed optical receivers using III-V materials, available in APD and PIN configurations with large area avalanche silicon photodiodes (LAAPD), PIN photodiodes and FILTRODE® detectors. The terahertz sensor product line targets the non-destructive testing (including baggage/cargo scanning) and quality control markets. The markets we serve are: telecommunications, homeland security, military, medical, and industrial/non-destructive testing.
