California Eastern Laboratories (CEL) is Renesas Electronics Corporation's (formerly NEC Electronics) partner in North America and Latin America and exclusively sells and markets products produced by its Compound Semiconductor Devices Business Unit (CSDBD). These products include radio frequency components and RFICs, optocouplers, solid state relays, fiber lasers and detectors. CEL maintains extensive inventory, sets prices and provides engineering design and applications support through its design center in Santa Clara, California. CEL also develops the MeshConnect™ family of IEEE 802.15.4/ZigBee RF modules and transceiver ICs, and the company is a member of the ZigBee Alliance.
